How To Easily Lighten Dark Underarms Using These Common Kitchen Ingredients

Dark underarms look so ugly and unattractive. Mostly, women experience the disagreeable presence of dark underarms.

There are many causes of dark underarms, such as: aggregation of dead skin cells, hyper-pigmentation, fundamental skin conditions, the chemicals in antiperspirants, as well as shaving.

Dermatologists recommend medicated cream, but these are usually expensive.

Fortunately, there are home remedies for brightening up your dark underarms that are cheaper and even work a lot better.

Try using kitchen ingredients to alleviate the discolouration of your underarms:

  1. Lemon Juice

The acidic properties in lemon help lighten the skin and will help in scraping off the dead skin cells which are one of the main causes of dark underarms.

You just need to rub the lemon juice under your armpits for a few minutes and then wash with water.

Note: Do not use it if you have pretty sensitive skin.

  1. Baking Soda

Baking soda acts as natural exfoliator. You just need to mix a little bit of baking soda with a little bit of water and rub it in for a few minutes.

  1. Place Potato Slices Under Arms

Potato is mildly acidic and is a natural bleaching agent. Cut the potato on slices, then place a thin slice on your underarm and rub it in there for 5 to 10 minutes twice a day.

  1. Cucumber Slices

Cucumber has natural bleaching properties that can help lighten the discoloured skin. Rub a cucumber slice around your underarms for about 10 minutes. Repeat the process twice a day for obtaining maximum results.

Keep orange peels to make a skin lightening paste. When your orange peels are dried up, grind it up with a blender and add a small amount of milk to the peel until you create a thick paste. Milk contains lactic acid which is also a lightening agent. Rub the paste into your underarms for about 10 minutes and rinse it off.

  1. Papaya Scrub

Papaya is an excellent remedy for the renewal of dead skin. You just have to mash a small chuck up papaya up and leave on for the 20 minutes. Then, wash it off.
